Spa & Pampering Night

Thanks to everyone who came and helped make this night a success!
We had a slow start all the way around but once we started, we had lots of things to keep us busy!

We used a salt scrub on our hands, rinsed it off, added lotion and dipped them in parafin wax. Then we covered them in plastic and wrapped them in towels to keep them warm. Afterwards, we peeled off the parafin then rubbed in a bit more lotion were able to polish our nails!

(Salt Scrub: Pour a bit of course salt into a container. Then use a carrier oil - avocado, jojoba, almond, grapeseed, or olive oil and pour in just enough to cover the salt.)

Then while we waited, we soaked our feet!

We also did Pillow Sprays where we filled the spray bottle most of the way with distilled water and added 25-35 drops of essential oils depending on which spray bottle we ended up with!

And finished up with Bath Salts which were 1 cup epsom salt, 2 cups dead sea salts, 1/2 cup baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon glycerine, 1 Tablespoon grapeseed oil, 10 drops essentail oils until the salt was coated and didn't look wet or feel overly moist. Then we added 1/2 cup citric acid. The first batch didn't turn out as well but.... I think everyone had a bunch to take home!

Thanks to Marisa for sharing her parafin bath with us and Donna for the wonderful music! Also to our nursery helpers and everyone who brought us treats!!!
Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and went home feeling a bit more pampered and relaxed!

Service

Dear Sisters,

We have a sister in the 10th ward that is in need of some service on Sunday mornings. Her name is Seena Taylor. She is in a wheelchair and does not receive home health on Sundays. The 10th ward has sacrament meeting at 9:00 a.m. this year. She is looking for someone to help her get ready between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. They don't have to be a registered nurse, but some training in the field will be helpful. They should know how to lift her from bed, to chair, etc. She will need help getting up, showered and dressed for church. She is willing to pay a small amount for this service. We are hoping there is someone in the stake who sould be willing to offer this service to her - and receive blessings of their own! Please ask in your wards and see if we can find someone who can help her.

Thanks for all you do!

Each Life That Touches Ours For Good

There are many of our friends and neighbors who have lived within our ward. We remember them because they have impacted our lives and those of our loved ones in some way. We may not even know that we've done something that made an impact -- to us, it may be part of our daily life; something small. Make it a point to notice people and the ways they impact your life. It's been amazing trying to remember names of all those who have moved away or passed on. All of the sisters both past and present, have something to contribute to our lives.
